Desalination project
Bandar Abbas desalination project is the largest desalination plant under construction in Iran with the aim of producing fresh water with a capacity of one million cubic meters of fresh water per day using the SWRO method (reverse osmosis is a modern seawater desalination technology) from seawater for consumption. Drinking and Industrial is based on three shifts of 8 hours and 345 working days in a land of 155 hectares in Bandar Abbas. The main consumers of produced water of this project are as follows:
- Drinking and industrial consumption in Hormozgan province
- Gol Gohar Mining and Industrial Company
- Sarcheshme copper company
- Chadormelo complex
